Preliminary Task

Continuity task involving filming and editing a character opening a door, crossing a room and sitting down in a chair opposite another character, with whom she then exchanges a couple of lines of dialogue. This task should demonstrate match on action, shot/reverse shot and the 180-degree rule.

We will be using two pupils from our sixth form to act out a job interview. We have got a set script we would like them to use. We will be using different types of film shots and angles to experiment with. This will help us to prepare for our main piece.

Script:

Pip - Hello, nice to meet you.

Other - Good morning, thank you for coming, please take a seat.

Pip - Thank you

Other - So Andrea, how did you hear about the job?
